KOGHA & KOGHA FIELD
Privacy notice
This notice covers the KOGHA app (Customer), the KOGHA Field app and the website at kogha.mereka.dev. Both apps are operated by Biji-biji Initiative. They are for adults aged 18 and over.
Updated 22 October 2026. For questions or requests, contact the team at team@mereka.io. To delete your account, see how to delete your account.
What we collect
Account. Your name, email address and an account identifier, created when you register or sign in with email and password or Sign in with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple you may share a private relay address instead of your own email.
Journey requests and arrangements. Addresses and places you type for a journey, dates and times, the plan and quote for your arrangement, and invoice records. Addresses you type are looked up on a map and saved with coordinates. KOGHA (Customer) does not read your device location.
Messages and files. Messages, photos and files you send in a conversation with the assigned team and operations support, and any report you make about a message.
Identity evidence. If you choose to provide it: images of an identity document and the details read from it (such as name, address, date of birth, sex, nationality and document number). Cards can show information such as religion, so treat evidence as sensitive and share only what is requested.
Device information. A notification token and an installation identifier so we can deliver message notifications to your device, and technical error information (see diagnostics below).
Location (KOGHA Field only). When a professional chooses to share during an assignment, KOGHA Field records the device’s precise location (latitude, longitude, accuracy and time) about every 15 seconds, including in the background if background sharing is enabled. It is shared with authorised assignment participants and operations. You can stop sharing in the app, and the app shows when it is sharing.
How we use it
To create and secure your account, arrange and run the service you request, let participants message each other, send notifications you have enabled, review evidence you submit, respond to your support requests, investigate misuse reported through the app, and diagnose faults. We do not sell personal information. The apps contain no advertising and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who can see it
Information you provide is visible to the people who need it to deliver the service: the assigned team, operations staff and, for your organisation’s arrangements, authorised members of that organisation. Service providers process information for us: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage, hosted in Singapore), Expo (push notification delivery), MapTiler (map tiles, which can disclose your IP address and the requested map area) and Sentry (error reports). We configure error reporting without default personal-information collection and without performance tracing or session replay, but an error message can still contain information an app component supplies.
Reporting and moderation
In a conversation you can report a message that is abusive, threatening, spam, inappropriate or a privacy concern. The report goes to KOGHA operations, who review it and can act on the conversation. You can also email team@mereka.io. Report content is used only to review and act on the report.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, keep records, resolve disputes, protect security and meet legal obligations. You can request account deletion inside the apps (Account, then Delete account) or by email. Deletion is processed by our team, you can cancel the request until it is processed, and we confirm by email. When it completes, your sign-in is removed and your profile is anonymised; transient delivery, tracking and preference records and your organisation memberships are removed or revoked. Some records may be kept in de-identified or restricted form where security, accounting, safety or law requires it, and copies in backups expire on the backup schedule. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also stop sharing with KOGHA in your Apple ID settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information, and you can withdraw notification and photo or camera permissions in your device settings at any time. Send requests to team@mereka.io with the app and account concerned. We may verify your identity before acting and will explain any limits that apply.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when the handling described here changes. Earlier versions described preview builds of the apps; this version describes the apps as released.
